Ship Gender

Need a statement about which gender pronoun to use for ships.

• Use the pronoun appropriate to the country (e.g. Japanese use male gender)
• Always use female gender.

We can attempt this, but we will fail. At one point, I was modifying Russian ship articles to use "he", but players have since gone back in and edited them out, because they don't take the time to learn this particular quirk of ship "genders" in other languages. That was my point. I started to do that with Japanese ships and they got edited back to female. I'll add #9 to the effect that we might as well just do female from the start, unless you disagree. iDuckman:na (talk)

Rule #6 is not complete. Was it supposed to be about italicizing ship name but not class name? Or is it supposed to be part of what is now #7? iDuckman:na (talk) 21:39, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
