The T28 Concept is an American tier 7 premium tank destroyer.
The development of this heavy breakthrough tank began in September 1943. It was planned to utilize certain components of the M6 tank as well as the electromechanical transmission and 105-mm T5 gun, mounted in a turret of limited traverse with 203-mm armor protection. The vehicle was intended to assault the fortifications of the German "Siegfried Line" (known as the "Westwall" to the Germans). The U.S. land forces rejected the project during the design phase. The vehicle was later modified into the T95 heavy breakthrough tank.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Wide gun traverse, can hide weakspots by angling around corners
- Good all around armor
- Surprising acceleration and engine power for its armor
- First premium American TD in the game - can train same class crews without penalty
Cons:
- Lowish penetration and accuracy, bad gun depression
- Awful traverse
- Obvious weakspots in the form of the miniturrets on each side, angling hides only one at a time
- No preferential matchmaking or credit bonus
- Most gold shells have zero issues penetrating your tank anywhere, e.g. Hellcat
Performance
While armor is ok, this tanks has multiple drawbacks. The armor is ok only against opponents who are unfamiliar with the weakspots of the tank (miniturrets which are visible to all sides and angles). Main armor can be penned from all sides by using premium ammunition by most tanks it meets. Low pen and accuracy for a TD combined with high ammo cost and non premium credit profile (see accuracy comment) can make losses expensive. Low mobility combined with bad gun depression can make positioning for a shot frustrating. Even the crew training part has a drawback as no other American TD has the same crew layout.
