The T7 Combat Car is an American tier 2 premium light tank.
Light wheeled caterpillar vehicle with machineguns, developed for the U.S. cavalry. The trials of the first prototype started in April 1937 and continued until 1939. However, the T7 was discontinued in favor of track-type vehicles.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Blisteringly fast rate of fire
- Amazing gun elevation and depression
- Absurd ammo capacity (1100)
- Decent hp/ton
- Only sees tier 2 battles, unlike the T2 LT
Cons:
- Poor armor

Performance
This tank is an interesting little machine. It requires a drastically different play style. It has excellent horsepower to ton ratio, but a wimpy top speed. It has excellent burst damage, but awful penetration. Players will need to adjust, because there is no tank quite like it in the game. It has awful armor, but its speed does not compensate for that. Many players have sold this tank because they do not operate this tank correctly, playing it like a battle tank such as the Cruiser series. It cannot battle head on, because it does not have the penetration or the armor to damage its enemies and resist incoming fire. So if you find yourself 1v1 with any tier 2 tank you'd better to hit escape and go back to hangar because this tank will not win any 1v1 with a tier2.Plus T18s always find it,always (derpgun)so you easily 1 shoted.
Thus this tank requires a cautious play style. The tank has 15 degrees of gun depression, which is very good. The tank receives limited matchmaking, similar to the Panzerkampfwagen I, limiting it to only tier 2 matches. Because of that, the only maps one will find themselves in are Malinovka, Mines, Himmelsdorf and Province.
Let's look at these maps individually, as they range in different play styles.
Malinovka
This map is open, but the T7 Combat Car certainly does not have the slightest capability to snipe. The gun loses all penetration after less than 350m. There is no APCR ammo to make up for that, even if one is willing to spend more credits. The only way to play on this map is to flank, but beware of sniping tank destroyers. Play cautiously and use the terrain and your extreme gun depression to you advantage. Move in groups. You don't have enough mobility to circle a tank, unless you blow the tracks off a tank destroyer. You must hit the opponents' side while they are engaged with your teammates. Show only your relatively big turret if possible. Most of all, do not charge in. Use the burst damage to your advantage. You can also distract them with your constant stream of half inch shells.
Himmelsdorf
In this urban map, you cannot use terrain to your advantage, but you can flank with the plentiful buildings and bottlenecks. Again, do not rush in. This should be one of the easier maps for this tank to play. You must have a teammate helping you.
Mines
On this map, one must go to Pagorki village, as the more open land next to the hill does not suit the characteristics of this tank. Flank and engage.
Province
This map is hard for this tank because you cannot snipe. The only way to be of some use to your team is to embark on the enemy ground and perhaps the enemies up. The slopes one can climb up while climbing up the opponents' side of the map is useful to this tank with its gun depression. However, this map has major bottlenecks, and one cannot flank easily. Still, it is much better than staying back and attempting to penetrate the enemies' armor from afar.
This tank is not a bad tank, but it does not stand out in any way apart from gun depression and burst damage. It has many weak points and it takes a skilled person to cover them up. It will probably be hard dealing lots of damage with this gun, but the correct play style can fix it all.
A final point. You don't have the penetration to go through most tanks of tier 2, so go for the softer targets like the FT AC or the Cruisers. You can also wreck the Medium I and Medium II, so make them a priority. Your team will forgive you for aiming at the softer target. Avoid T18s at all costs, as well as the H35.

Historical Info
The first pilot model was constructed in 1938 at Rock Island Arsenal and sent to Aberdeen for testing. Many complications arose from various parts of the suspension, which delayed testing until improvements could be made. Additionally, although the tank was capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 mph off-road or 55 mph on wheels, the practical speeds were lower as the vehicle became too difficult to control when going so fast.
By 1939, tracks had developed to the point to where the ability to drive the tank on wheels had become superfluous. Because of this, all work on the T7 ceased.
