The WZ-111-1G FT is a Chinese tier 8 tank destroyer.
The development of the WZ-111-1G FT tank destroyer was based on the experience of the WZ-111 heavy tank creation. A prototype of the latter was produced in the early 1960s. It underwent running trials, which revealed a number of disadvantages in the vehicle's design, and the development of the WZ-111 was discontinued in 1964. The design of the WZ-111-1G FT shows the Soviet tank-building influence. There is no information about any produced prototypes.
The WZ-111-1G FT leads to the WZ-111G FT.

Performance
The WZ-111-1G FT is the first Chinese tank destroyer based on a heavy tank and represents the final step in the transformation of this TD line from light and maneuverable to heavy and reasonably well armored.
The mobility of the WZ-111-1G FT is substantially reduced in comparison to its predecessor, the T-34 -2G FT, with a lower power to weight ratio and much lower tank traverse rate. In close quarters it will be difficult to turn fast enough to keep up with a moving opponent - turning contests should be avoided.
The armor protection has however been improved and the frontal armor will bounce some shots, at least if an opponent can't reliably hit the lower plate. Lower tier tanks will struggle to penetrate the armor but don't expect much when hit by higher tier tanks.
In terms of firepower the top gun does offer great penetration and very good alpha damage. Unfortunately it will require no less than 110k experience to research it. And since you'll probably have to spend a fair amount of time without the top gun, it might be prudent to consider what the lesser guns has to offer.
The stock gun of the WZ-111-1G FT , the 122mm D-25TG is also the top gun of the T-34 -2G FT. The good news is you'll have used this gun already and can probably tell exactly how much you'd enjoy grinding the 44k necessary for the second gun with it. The bad news is 192mm AP penetration which is seriously underwhelming for a tier 8 tank destroyer.
The second gun is the 122mm 60-122TG FT. The 246mm AP penetration of this gun does represent a massive improvement compared to the stock gun. Both penetration and damage is actually comparable to the top guns of US and German tier 8 tank destroyers, for example the Skorpion G, which might seem fairly promising. Even so a WZ-111-1G FT with the 60-122TG FT mounted is a somewhat mediocre performer. Aim time, damage per minute and dispersion are all quite poor. Unlike a Skorpion G, the mobility of the WZ-111-1G FT does not allow maneuvering for a side shot against an opponent and when forced instead to target the frontal armor of a well armored tank, insufficient gun handling means hitting weak spots reliably is not possible with the 60-122TG FT.
The top gun, the 130mm 59-130JG FT is likely why you might consider playing the WZ-111-1G FT. With better damage per minute, aim time and dispersion than the 60-122TG, penetration and damage is also among the best for tier 8 tank destroyers. 271mm AP pen and 340mm HEAT pen will allow the WZ-111-1 FT to contest the frontal armor of all but the toughest opponents from afar.
Regardless of the tier of the opponents, being outmaneuvered is always a concern with the WZ-111-1G FT. Unless this risk can be mitigated, your frontal armor won't be of much use and sniping from a safe distance might be the better choice. That said, it's quite possible to bully lesser opponents with no way around your frontal armor and given the opportunity you should certainly do so. Unlike tank destroyers with no armor, the WZ-111-1G FT requires one to take into consideration what use its armor might be in a given match up.
Overall, the WZ-111-1G FT differs quite a lot from its predecessors, being slower and better armored. This also demonstrates what can be expected from the higher levels of the Chinese tank destroyer tree.
