Performance

Everything you've come to know about French tanks changes with this vehicle. You'll have to forget about the armor of the AMX 40, but for the first time you'll be able to move at high speed and use a great gun. In fact the ELC AMX has the highest damage and penetration of all tier 5s (excluding tank destroyers).

Unlike most light tanks, the ELC AMX is *not* a scout, even with the extremely fast acceleration, top speed, and maneuverability that is on par with the T-50. It's best radio only has a range of 360m. In a pinch it can try, as can any tank, but it is not well suited for it. So, at the beginning of a match, the only people saying "ELC go scout" should be people who don't know better. Also, it can not flank tanks because of its lack of a fully rotationable turret. With these disadvantages, you have to resort to a second line of an attack, a defense, or a sniper with the accurate 90mm gun. The size, weight, and play style of this tank are comparable to the french Renault UE 57 tank destroyer.
