Pros and Cons

Pros:


  • Superb mobility in rapid mode
  • Great 90mm gun for its tier, boasting decent penetration and velocity with acceptable accuracy
  • Also good gun handling -- short aim time, little dispersion penalty, and good gun vertical traverse
  • High-pen HE can be deadly when flanking
  • Good camo values; can sneak around with rather ease


Cons:


  • Abysmal surviveability -- any shot or impact will punish severely
  • Horrid view range on par with the Leichttraktor, one of the game's starting tier tanks
  • Somewhat small ammo capacity
  • Gets set on fire a lot

Historical Accuracy Errata

The following are consensus errors or inconsistencies which have been identified with the configuration of the vehicle in question and conflict with information available on the public record. The causes for these divergences in the game are normally not disclosed and may be rooted in game balance.

There are no six-wheeled versions of the four-wheeled Panhard AML series. The six-wheeled successor to the AML was the Panhard ERC (Engin à Roues, Canon/Wheeled Vehicle, Cannon) series. The "Panhard AML Lynx 6x6" very closely resembles one version of this vehicle, the ERC 90 F1 Lynx.
