Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Access to "rapid mode" - very high top and reverse speed at the cost of some steering
- Good 90mm gun for its class - good penetration, high shell velocity and great gun handling
- Very good HE penetration, ideal to counter enemy light tanks or hit sides/rear of heavier targets
- Good gun depression and fast turret traverse
- Very good camouflage values, also a fairly small target
Cons:
- Virtually unarmored with a low hitpoint pool, very poor survivability
- Pathetic viewrange, even when fully boosted it does not reach 400 metres
- Loses a lot of speed if its wheels get damaged
- Weak fuel tanks, high risk of being set on fire
- Somewhat low ammo capacity
Early Research
The turning angles are inadequate stock so that will be a major priority, then the engines. Unlock the D.921 F1 gun first. It is the player's choice to upgrade or not, as the first 90mm loses a little pen and has slower aim time compared to stock gun, but has less dispersion on turret rotation, very slightly slower shell velocity and higher DPM and alpha.
After getting the top wheels (and possibly engine) one should consider researching the top CN 90 F3 gun despite that it comes free upon researching the EBR 90; it is a plainly superior weapon that one will benefit from a lot. Also note that it could be mounted with stock wheels, but doing so will leave very little weight for equipment.
