The FCM 50 t is a French tier 8 premium heavy tank.
Development was started in December 1945. The vehicle was conceived as an alternative for the AMX 50t and combined archaic features typical of the pre-war French tank-construction industry as well as German innovations. The vehicle was to be equipped with an additional container trailer, equipment for underwater driving, and a demountable mine clearer.
Experienced players with the Heavy tank french tree may find this tank equipped with the well proven and accurate 90mm DCA-45 gun, with the advantages of having an excellent aim time, accuracy and reload over the tier 6 and 7 regular tanks, the gun carries decent penetration to handle most tanks it can encounter, sadly the damage is still rather weak at that tier, and while the frontal armor can be surprisingly bouncy and the tank agile, the sides and rear are unrelaible for protection, and wont survive a ram should it come to that.

Performance
The FCM 50 t is very much a heavy tank that thinks it's a medium tank. With average armor, a 90mm gun, high top speed and quick acceleration, it's best to play this tank as you would a medium tank using cover, flanking tactics and aiming for weak spots to disable the enemy to allow you to gain the upper hand and run circles around your target.
The gun equipped on the tank is very similar to the top tier gun of the ARL 44. The main differences include higher ammo capacity, higher rate of fire, better accuracy, faster aim time and better gun elevation but worse gun depression. It can be difficult to take advantage of the high rate of fire of this tank due to its weak armor (unloading shells keeps it exposed for a period of time), but the gun's rate of fire is often fast enough to take an opening shot at a high tier, slow-to-reload target and follow it up with a second shot before the enemy can reload a second time.
