The Spähpanzer Ru 251 is a German tier 9 light tank.
The vehicle was based on the Kanonenjagdpanzer 4-5 tank destroyer by the Henschel company in 1964. The tank was planned to replace the obsolete M41 Walker Bulldog vehicles used by the reconnaissance battalions of the armored divisions in the German Army. The tank never saw mass production, but some technical innovations were applied later in the development of other vehicles. The total number of prototypes built is unknown.
The Spähpanzer Ru 251 leads to the Rheinmetall Panzerwagen.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Fastest tank in the game by a noticeable margin
- Highest top speed tank in the game, has been reported to reach over 100 Km/h downhill.
- Excellent DPM, higher than other tier 8 Medium Tanks
- Fast aim time
- Good accuracy for a 90mm gun
Cons:
- Horrid armor, ANY shot into the rear by ANY tank at all will pen
- Somewhat large compare to AMX 13/90
- Only one gun (although very well performing)
- Lacks an autoloader, which gives it significant trouble when dealing with other light tanks
- Fast speed combined with poor armor and low weight means crashing into a Maus at very high speed will instantly kill you. Avo
Performance
More or less a lighter version of Leopard Prototyp A that is designed for recon, keep moving with your high speed and maneuver when you can, but make sure not to overdo this due to the poor power to weight ratio as you will slow down a surprising amount. Avoid crashing into other tanks when at high speed and take HE or AP pot shots when possible. Avoid giving away your rear for lengthy periods of time at all costs, as it is very likely nothing will be unable to penetrate the wimpy 8mm armor found there.
