Performance
Originally, the VK 28.01 offered a unique gameplay experience thanks to its ability to mount a howitzer, which turned it into a miniature version of the T49. However, with patch 9.18 this option has been removed from the game. What is left is an adequate, but unremarkable light tank with good view range and decent frontal armour.

Historical Info
Krupp envisioned the VK 28.01 with a modified Pz IV turret. The Hull armor of the VK 28.01 was to be 50/30/30. The 50 mm upper front plate was sloped at 55 degrees while the lower plate of the same thickness was sloped at 45 degrees. The turret armor was to be 50/30/30 protection and was nearly identical to the panzer IV turret. The only distinguishing feature was the cupola which was based off the Panther's cupola.

Historical Accuracy Errata
Actual planned 75 mm KwK 40 L/43 gun is missing. The current gun configurations are both fake.
- The turret is the same Ausf G model used on the Panzer IV Ausf H, yet the view range and weight values are inconsistent.
- The 75 mm KwK 40 L/48 and 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 are the same guns used on the Panzer IV Ausf H and Panzer III Ausf J respectively, yet the penetration values of the AP shell are inconsistent.
- Actual Argus 12LD330H engine is more powerful than in reality, with 580 hp compared to the historical 550.
- The Argus 12LD330H was its only intended engine. The Argus 12LD330HL is fake.
