The Achilles is a British tier 6 tank destroyer.
The Achilles was a British variant of the American M10 GMC tank destroyer. Standard M10 gun was replaced by a more powerful British anti-tank Ordnance Quick-Firing 17-pounder gun. That allowed the tank destroyer to effectively battle against the German vehicles. In 1944 the re-equipping of the tank destroyer was launched, with a total of 1,100 vehicles re-equipped by the end of the war.
The Achilles leads to the Challenger.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Superior stock gun compared to the American 3-inch AT Gun M7
- Superb accuracy
- Decent mobility
Cons:
- Slow turret traverse
- Low alpha damage
- Poor gun depression despite the open turret
- Thin armor and large target
- Stock grind is bad
Performance
The Achilles plays similarly to an uptiered M10 Wolverine. it has a low alpha, high penetration DPM gun which can be tricky to utilize with its low armor. Because of its horrible armor, most hits you receive will penetrate you, and artillery is especially deadly. With an accuracy of 0.33 and an aim time of 1.9 sec, the gun is good at delivering damage at range, which will reduce your chances of being hit, allowing you to make use of your DPM.
Early Research
- The tracks are not required to mount the top gun and turret if you are using the upgraded engine, and can be saved for later
- First, research the engine as it is lighter, increasing your mobility
- Next, research the upgraded turret and gun; the top gun is shared with the AT-8 and AT-7, so you will already have it researched if you have gone down the AT-x line.
- Last, research the tracks
