The Black Prince is an effective, if unexceptional, tier V medium. It has lower armor than the Churchill, but a better profile and a more accurate gun. It is best used in the second line, as your fast rate of fire and quick turning turret will make short work of flankers and scouts. It is always best to aim for weak spots when using this tank as even some lower tier tanks may bounce shots you'll think are certain to penetrate. Since its top speed is barely 24km/h, you wont be able to keep up with the pace of fast battles, but you can make an exceptional defender, sniper and ambusher. | The Black Prince is an effective, if unexceptional, tier V medium. The Matilda Black Prince is a British tier 5 premium medium tank.
This vehicle features a 6-pounder gun fitted in the A27 turret. Only one prototype was produced, after which development was discontinued due to complications with the turret mounting. The vehicle never entered service.
An unmanned modified Matilda II equipped with a remote control steering system and a mock-up gun designed to trick enemy AT guns to reveal their positions. It has been confused with a Matilda II/A27turret conversion, and was the first British tank added to the game.

Player Opinion
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Armour is better than it appears
- High rate of fire with reasonable accuracy
- Relatively low profile
- Above average HP
- Does not encounter tier 7 battles, unlike regular tier 5 tanks
Cons:
- Slow, with poor power to weight ratio. There are some hills that it cannot climb, whereas for other tanks it is not an issue.
- Low damage and penetration
- Small ammo capacity
Performance
Take it slow, pick your targets, and watch your ammo. With around 30 shots a minute and only 55 spare, you'll run dry quick if you don't make your shells count. It is better to wait until you are fully aimed before firing, so try to avoid the Churchill tactic of slinging shells at your target knowing you'll hit eventually.
Strangely, the Matilda Black Prince was in fact a remote-controlled version meant to draw fire and trick enemy AT guns into revealing their positions.
