Perhaps you were looking at the top turret on the standard M4, or the T23E3, neither of which have significant overlap between the mantlet and turret face. The E8 has an 89mm mantlet with 76mm curved armor behind most of that. 14:50, 15 September 2014(9,906 bytes)Except you're trying to propogate a lie. There's nowhere on the turret front of the E8, even with mantlet support, that exceeds 120mm. Most of the mantlet doesn't have turret face backing it, it's just mantlet armor alone. The E8 isn't an armor tank and shouldn't be played that way - hulldown relies more on small target and quick exposure. Not armor.
