Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Very agile
- Very fast
- Good ramming capabilities
- Cheap to maintain. Due to it's ~4k-5k repair costs, it can make a profit even in a loss
Cons:
- Less acceleration than the T-50-2
- Larger silhouette from the side than the T-50-2
- Inadequate penetration for all it's guns. It has the third lowest penetration of all scouts with 2mm more penetration than th
- Worst view range out of all the Tier-6 Light Tanks
- Slows down a lot when going over fences or houses due to a "flat" track design
Performance
The MT-25 should be a very effect scout killer but unfortunately its matchmaking (it regularly meets tier 10s) means that this role is limited. This really is the only role the MT-25 can preform as it is too big for passive scouting, it does not have enough acceleration for active scouting. Just like the Tetrarch , when the MT-25 moves over fences, the tank may slow down significantly due to it's suspension design Its guns as mentioned above are terrible, frankly, the 57 mm ZiS-4 has got decent accuracy but both the penetration and damage are lacking. My personal favorite however is the 37 mm automatic due to the burst damage. This gun however comes with a whole host of problems the biggest being its fire rate of 36.9,this sounds ok until you discover that a single clip has 36 shells in all of which can be emptied in 15 seconds. This is all very good but it does mean that you get 15 seconds of shooting followed by a 45 second reload in this time everything you could face (except some artillery) would have reloaded and due to the large size kill you. My suggestion on pay style is to wait for scouts to come to you and use your tank as a battering ram before finishing them off with your gun. MT-25 ram can deal heavy damage to enemy LT and SPG. However ram big LT or big SPG like Aufklärungspanzer Panther or SU-14-2 both enemies and you will die. A final word of warning to NOT use HE shells in the 37 mm automatic as although it looks really cool, the low damage and penetration means it can take 15 shots to kill a tier 1 tank.

Historical Info
MT-25 was a proposal of a new light tank for the Soviet army. the projets it self was not ordered by the army, but it was proposed to it by a group of engineers as their vision of the new Soviet light tanks. MT-25 was not the sole example of the third party proposal concept, as there were some really strange ideas presented to the Soviet goverment (spherical tanks, motorized skis, catapults) but was one of the most reasonable ones. Nevertheless, the tank never left the blueprint stage.
Proposal letter:
"To the Chair of the State Committee of Defense of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, I.V. Stalin.
Fulfilling our duty to the Motherland in this period of relentless and heroic struggle of the Soviet people against the German fascist occupants, and protection of our honour, freedom, and independence, we developed blueprints of a new combat vehicle.
During development, we have considered the following factors:
1. High movement speed.
2. Low damage as a result of being hit.
3. Large operational range.
4. Ability to suddenly attack the enemy.
The vehicle we have developed is called MT-25, and is a wheeled vehicle, with every wheel being a drive wheel. If tracks are added, the MT-25 becomes a tracked vehicle. The vehicle's mass is 25 tons. The average speed is 40-45 kph, maximum 100 kph. Since every wheel is a drive wheel, the vehicle is very survivable. Even if half of the wheels are disabled, the vehicle does not stop. When the engine uses a muffler, the vehicle moves silently. Armament: 47 mm gun and 3 machine guns. We ask you to consider our proposal and accept it as a gift in honour of the Red Army's 25th anniversary.
