?The CS-53 plays most similarly to the Lansen C at its tier - it’s a poorly armoured medium with good camoflage, good alpha and decent DPM. Whilst the armour may look heavily sloped and the turret very curved, there isn’t enough armour on either to reliably bounce much - even from lower tier tanks. Whilst -8 gun depression is good enough to play ridge lines effectively, remember you have no effective turret armour to use, so be careful using it.+A fairly generic Tier 8 medium tank, the CS-53 mostly stands out thanks to its top gun - the 100mm armata wz. 58 enjoys good alpha damage, good gun depression and, more critically, the second-highest premium ammo penetration among Tier 8 medium tanks. It is also worth noting that this tank has a low profile and a very good level of camouflage for a medium tank.
? +Unfortunately, that's all there is to say, as the CS-53 is marred by serious shortcomings: poor gun handling (subpar accuracy, long aim time and poor dispersion values), a weak armor profile that won't get more than lucky ricochets, and a low hitpoint pool (as low as 1200 with the stock turret). It is also a surprisingly sluggish tank, even with the upgraded suspensions and engine, and won't be able to move around the map quickly even in the best of circumstances.
?What this tank lacks in armour, it makes up for with the mobility and camoflage. Because of the tanks low profile, the camo is pretty good for a medium and can allow for some nice positioning. The 300 alpha gun, whilst not as good as some mediums at tier, is still above average for Tier VIII and can be used to trade effectively against mediums. The rate of fire is surprisingly good for the alpha damage as well, and can catch players off guard. These allow this tank to be quite effective at holding positions, outtrading it’s opponents and making use of the good DPM when necessary. Whilst not the fastest medium at it's tier, the mobility is still very good (think T-44 kind of mobility) and makes this vehicle effective at flanking and counter-punching, especially with the alpha damage it has.+Last but not least, whereas on every other Polish medium tank the role of radio operator is taken by the commander, on the CS-53 said role is taken by the loader, meaning players might have to switch crew skills around specifically for this tank as they progress through the line.

?When stock, this tank is one of the worst tanks at Tier VIII. The alpha damage is still good but your DPM is the same as it was as Tier VII, except now the gun handling is worse and the penetration is completely inadequate. It is highly recommended to go for the second gun as soon as possible, which brings the DPM up to an acceptable standard.+

The CS-53 is a Polish tier 8 medium tank.

In the first half of the 1950s, the Military Technical Academy of Warsaw was developing several projects of medium tanks. These projects were greatly influenced by Soviet tank-building. During the development process, Polish experts adopted the technical and configurational concepts used in the experimental, mass-produced Soviet T-54 tank. Existed only in blueprints.

The CS-53 leads to the CS-59.

Performance
