The 122mm is exactly the same gun you had on your SU-26 except you are competing with even higher tier tanks and still asking to be raped. Your guns have no damage penetration so don't buy this tank and expect lots of kills. Unless you have gold to buy premium ammo, this tank is horrible period.

+ | The aiming mechanics on the SU-26 are horrible. Unlike the SU-5, every 10 degrees you make your receptacle resets to its widest accuracy so you have no chance of hitting medium/fast tanks unless you take a guesstimated shot not to mention that the aim time makes even shooting stationary tanks ultra hard. This tank also has a noticeable firing delay when you fire shots; meters/second delayed already factored in. Don't believe me? Buy it and try it.

The <value_unset_error> is a [[|]] tier .
<value_unset_error>
It can be considered as the worst of the whole USSR branch by the players with lower skill, but it is actually much better than its predecessor SU-26 due to its 3rd weapon upgrades, the 152mm mortar NM mod. 1931. Including the highest firing rate amongst the tier 5 artillery weapons, higher splash range, more damage and moreover the higher penetration value. However 152mm mortar has one significant disadvantage; low ammo count. Stock, it starts with the underpowered 76mm Howitzer, but you should have spent the effort to get the 122mm howitzer with the SU-26 and thus, can start with that. Some players even prefer the 122mm howitzer to the 152mm mortar, because of its higher ammo count.
The <value_unset_error> marks the end of its line.

Early Research
- The 122 mm Howitzer mod. 1930, all the engines and radios carry over from the SU-26.
- You should research first the suspension, since you need it to mount the 122mm.
- Depending on your playstile, you can either stay with the 122mm or try to research early the 152mm Mortar for improved damage/penetration.
