A Chinese tech tree is planned for release in 0.8.3. Originally, the Chinese faction of tanks were supposed to be a minor faction solely represented by 3 premium tanks. However, the 0.8.3 update will bring with it a patchwork Chinese line. The lower tiers will be made up of British, American, and Japanese tanks, while tier 5+ will be mainly Soviet modifications, with the exception of a few Chinese prototype tanks. The tree was previewed on the patch 0.8.2 v1 test server, but was held back after issues were found with the tier 10 tank (Source: SerB). A Chinese tech tree is planned for release in 0.8.3. The nation of China is currently represented by premium tanks. All of these tanks are available for purchase on the Chinese server. Only the Type 59 is available for purchase on the SEA server. The Type 59 was made available to players for purchase on the EU/NA servers in the past, and is occasionally made available for special events. The Type 62 is occasionally available for purchase on the EU/NA/SEA servers through the Gift Shop. We are not keeping track of availability on the Russian server.

Chinese Light Tanks do not follow any doctrine up to tier IV, because they are not original chinese tanks, but captured or copies of other nations' tanks. However, you can easily rely on them to perform similarly to their models in other nations (i.e RenaultFT-17, T-26, M5 Stuart) Later light tanks are fast and and pack a great punch, much like the french light tanks, but they trade in the autoloader for much better armor.

Chinese Medium Tanks are, up to a point, very similar to the soviet ones, combining mobility and firepower, at the expense of a low rate of fire.

Chinese Heavy Tanks are also similar to the soviet ones. These tanks have good frontal armor and acceleration and faster rates of fire, which makes it possible to play them as "heavy mediums.
