Difference between revisions of "Template:Commander Skills 2"

Why?

This is a replacement for the old Template:Commander Skills. That one is too clever by half. It uses the skill name as both the usage documentation and as the variable name to pass the rating to the template. Slick, but a problem comes when the skill name changes, as it has several times recently. Either the old skill name must be used in the ship pages - breaking documentation - or ALL ship pages have to change.

This version uses variable names that correspond to the table position and are not unique to that skill, while the skill name, description, image, link, etc are all contained in the CS Cell NN template. Change it there and all ship pages change. The current skill names are used in the ship page to help orientation, but they are non-functional and can be edited at will.
