The tanks turret is a heavily armored dome like structure on a tank connecting the gun to the hull of the tank allowing it, and the gun to rotate. Turning the turret decreases your accuracy so to fire with the most accuracy one should stop rotating the turret so the gun can be fully aimed. Some vehicles do not have turrets at all and the gun is mounted directly onto the hull; TDs and SPG do not have turrets, Tanks do; with some unique exceptions in all categories. Vehicles without turrets can still move their gun without having to move the hull but to a very limited degree. Changing the turret may also add more total hit points to the tank. A destroyed turret will get locked and will not rotate until repaired. A damaged turret rotates at a greatly reduced speed.
Turret characteristics:
Armor - The turret armor refers to the average thickness of the turret armor, measured in millimeters. When written as #/#/# it refers to the front/sides/rear armor measurements.
Turret Traverse - The speed at which the turret rotates around its axis is known s the turret traverse and is measured in degrees per second.
View Range - View Range is the maximum distance the commander can see out of the tank, measured in meters and refers to a full 360° view around the tank.
