Blanked the page
Line 1:Line 1:
?===Class Names===
?We're capitalizing vehicle class names (i.e. Light, Medium, and Heavy tanks, Tank Destroyer, and Self-Propelled Gun). Please don't change them to lower case. --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 01:05, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
?:Don't go nuts... See prior revisions of what was bolded and linked and how I would prefer it. Not every instance of "SPG" or "Ammo", etc. needs to be linked >AND< just because it is linked does not mean grammar does not apply. https://wiki.worldoftanks.com/index.php?title=Self_Propelled_Guns&action=historysubmit&diff=14276&oldid=14272 Thanks, --[[User:Jiri Starrider|Jiri Starrider]] 06:26, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

?So Jiri, if we create bulleted guideline:
?* Only bold the first instance of the tank's name.
?* Only need to link the first instance of a referenced page.
?* Capitalize vehicle class names (i.e. Light, Medium, and Heavy tanks, Tank Destroyer, and Self-Propelled Gun). In cases such as "the tank has heavy armor" the word "heavy" is not capitalized since it's not used as the name of a class.
?Correct? --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 06:43, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
?
?:* Not sure we need the name of the tank in the text bolded. It's usually at the start of the title panel and rather close to the page name already.
?:* Agreed, certainly within the same paragraph.
?:* Better example - "SPGs are vulnerable to light and medium tanks." vice "Noticing breaks in a defensive line early can allow an SPG to relocate before an enemy Light Tank can arrive." Even though the first is referring to the name of the class, their use isn't that of a proper noun, where the 2nd uses it as a proper noun (including tank). Been reading the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Capital_letters Wikipedia Manual of Style]] and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(capitalization) Naming Conventions]], and ya, Light Tank, Self Propelled Gun, etc. are proper nouns and should be capitalized, each use, my bad there. --[[User:Jiri Starrider|Jiri Starrider]] 07:32, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
?::Ok, no bolding at all then. Check. I've been removing additional bolding but leaving the first one bolded if it was already there. Someone has been bolding again though so I wasn't sure. --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 07:50, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
?::Good luck getting the general masses to differentiate between common nouns and proper nouns. lol --[[User:Trifler|Trifler]] 07:50, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
