Shikishima — Cuirassé japonais promo premium Tier X.

Les plans pour les cuirassés de classe Yamato prévoyaient la construction de huit navires avant 1950. Début 1941, le programme fut ajusté : en se basant sur des renseignements liés à l'échelle de construction de navires imposants aux États-Unis, les dirigeants de la marine japonaise décidèrent d'augmenter le nombre de cuirassés en cours de construction. L'un des navires était censé être construit en suivant le design de la classe Yamato, et tous les suivants avec un design amélioré comportant une batterie principale de 510 mm. Une variante à six canons avec trois tourelles de batterie principale disposait d'un déplacement standard de 65 700 tonnes.
