The M5A1 Stuart is a Chinese tier 4 light tank.

Pierwsze czołgi z serii M5 zostały wyprodukowane w kwietniu 1942, spośród kilku wariantów wybrano model M5A1. Po tym jak zaprojektowany został czołg M24 Chaffee, czołgi M5A1 uznano za przestarzałe i rozpoczęto ich eksport do innych krajów, w tym do Chin. W sumie 100 wozów tego typu zostało dostarczonych armii Kuomintangu. Podczas wojny domowej (1946-1949) wiele z tych maszyn zostało przejętych przez Chińską Armię Ludowo-Wyzwoleńczą.
