The AMX 50 B is a French tier 10 heavy tank.

Opracowany od roku 1951 przez DEFA, państwowe biuro konstrukcji broni. Do roku 1958 AMX50B otrzymał szereg usprawnień, wliczając odlewany kadłub o niskim profilu, oraz zawieszenie oparte na drążkach skrętnych. Na pojeździe zamontowano także nową wieżę oscylacyjną ze 120-mm działem. Mimo faktu, że silnik Maybacha posiadał moc tylko 1000 koni mechanicznych, specjaliści z niemieckiej firmy Gruppe M szukali rozwiązania, które pozwoliłoby pojazdowi osiągnąć prędkość do 65 km/godz. Zbudowano tylko jeden kompletny prototyp tego wariantu.

The AMX 50 B marks the end of its French heavy line.
