The WZ-131 is a Chinese tier 7 light tank.

Type 59 tankının hafif bir versiyonunun geliştirilmesine 1957'de başlandı. Yeni tank Güney Çin'in dağlık ve bataklık arazisinde görev yapmak üzere tasarlandı. İlk prototip 1962'de üretildi. Daha sonra araç birkaç modernizazyon aşamasından geçirildi.
