New Features

Game

  • A USB memory stick of 8 GB (minimum) will be required to play if you own a Xbox 360 with a 4GB HDD. Please note that you will not be able to split the content between storage devices
  • World of Tanks: Attack! A new minigame playable in the launcher while you download. See if you can survive 10 waves of deadly enemy armor!
  • We have implemented a minimum installation and background downloading. After the minimal installation, all Garage features and tier I tank battles are possible while the rest of the game downloads in the background
  • You can now toggle which map you want visible in your HUD; the tank heading circular minimap, or the static full square strategic map
  • Tier I vehicles have been improved to provide a better experience to new players. All tier I tanks for new players will come with all packages researched and purchased and will be equipped with top tier packages
  • Tier I tanks for existing players will retain the packages you have equipped on them as well as a one-time reimbursement for packages you've researched and purchased (1,825 Free XP and 35,820 Silver if you purchased all available tier I tanks and their packages)
  • Added a Vehicle Filter option in the Garage that allows you to filter your vehicles by nation, tier, vehicle type, Premium, and/or daily bonus! To use, press Up on the d-pad or left stick
  • Multiple post-battle results are now available in the Log tab. Go to the “Log” tab and find the entry for the battle you want to see. Press A to pull up that particular set of battle results. The Log only retains battle results from your current gaming session
  • Sniper camera effects have been added to better communicate when you are on fire, your engine has been damaged/destroyed, or your optics have been damaged/destroyed
  • Camouflage displayed in the Garage is now last battle played, this is on a vehicle by vehicle basis. No more reverting to the Winter camo by default!
  • All permanent customization items purchased with Gold are saved and can be re-applied at any time to the vehicle on which they were unlocked
  • At player's request, added an all new 3rd radial strategic command wheel:
    • Enemies Located!
    • Cover Me!
    • Need a Target!
    • Falling Back!
    • Defend This Position!
    • Immobilized!
    • “Flank Left” and “Flank Right” available during the match countdown
  • Added an "Out of Ammo!" command to the radial menu in response to community feedback. This command will appear in the same slot as “Reloading” and “Ready to Fire” on the default command reel when you are out of ammo
  • Be on the lookout for the spectacular new celebration animations when you purchase a tank from the tech tree! In a hurry? Skip the animation by pressing the "B" button
  • The Garage UI has been re-skinned! Check out the updated look in the following areas:
    • Tank Reel
    • Stats
    • Log Tab
    • Platoons
    • Ops Tab
    • Button Prompts
    • Crew Reel
  • Updated the post mortem camera to cycle through your remaining Platoon members first, and then move to the rest of your allies
  • Added display of 'Mastery Badge' achievement for cases when a player owns the Mastery Badge but completed its conditions again

Gameplay

  • We have adjusted Artillery balance weight and reduced it by 10% to improve their matchmaking
  • Battle Hero Achievements
    • High Caliber
      • Awarded to players who dealt the highest amount of damage during the battle. The damage dealt should be at least 20% of the enemy team vehicles' total HP, and greater than 1,000 points

  • Updated Fisherman’s Bay, Murovanka, Port, and Redshire topographical maps with elevation fixes
  • Replaced boats with animated versions on Airfield
  • Adding rail dead ends to track sections on Widepark
  • Adjusted collision on cupola object on Arctic Region. Vehicles will no longer get stuck on top of it
  • Texture stretching resolved on Karelia rocks
  • Added glowing windows and streetlamps to Himmelsdorf night

Engineering

  • Error code 0x00000070 now produces a proper "out of space" error message

  • Borderline shots are less likely to hit lumpy terrain
  • Reduced stutter of other vehicles at long distances, especially when they rotate or move slowly

Localization

  • Fixed truncation in German on the Store Tab, the Premium Time remaining in 'Hours'.
  • French: "Niveaus" changed to be "Niveaux" in battle queue
  • Several languages state users will receive 50% of their Silver back when they dismount complex equipment, now corrected to say they will receive 100%
  • Silver Upsell text to include one-time only disclaimer
  • Fixed spelling of “Successfully” in the log tab when purchasing tanks and packages
  • Fixed concatenation for complex Equipment warning dialog in all Non-English languages
  • Added new localized strings to specify bundle or package purchase in the log tab

UI

  • Fixed issue where some guns were reporting two accuracy #s in the user interface (where only one was correct)
  • Changed "Incompatible Tier" to "Incompatible" on vehicles that can't join the Platoon
  • Purchasing a vehicle and quickly returning to "Garage" no longer displays "No crew" in the tank reel
  • "A" button prompt now correctly updates when repairing a damaged vehicle
  • Reassigning Crew to a Premium vehicle will no longer cause the reassign menu to stick until backed out to the crew reel
  • Convert XP pop up now yields clear information when player lacks sufficient Elite/Premium XP
  • Correct ammo icons now display on vehicles and the Ammo & Supplies Help Screen
  • "Host has already launched the game" dialog prompt will now display if the joined player remains in the Battle Results screen immediately after battle
