Inscriptions (WoT)

A decorative element represented by a short text or number. Textual inscriptions are non-editable and can be either specific to a certain vehicle nation or applicable to any vehicle in the game. As an option, you can decorate your vehicle with a tactical number—an editable digit combination with a range of fonts available. Depending on the vehicle model, you can apply one or two inscriptions to its turret or hull.
The Inscriptions in the game have only a decorative function and do not provide bonuses to the characteristics of the crew or equipment.

How to Apply/Remove

There are several rules for applying the inscriptions to the vehicle:

• the inscriptions may only be used in specially designated places;
• for each type of map (season) the inscriptions are applied and paid for separately;
• You have to pay for each inscription you use, whether you have more or not.

1. In your Garage, click Exterior. In the lower part of the screen, the exterior customization panel is displayed.
2. Go to the inscription tab on the customization panel.
3. Select an inscription. It will be automatically applied to your vehicle.
4. On the right of your vehicle is a window listing all the elements of the appearance of the style. To see the inscription for other seasons switch between them on the left side of the screen.
5. To purchase the selected inscription, click the "Go to Purchase" button in the upper right corner of the Appearance panel. Click the "Buy and Exit" button on the purchase items screen.

In your Garage, click Exterior. In the lower part of the screen, the exterior customization panel is displayed.

Go to the inscription tab on the customization panel.

Click on the vehicle and then click on the Remove inscription button in the window to the right of the vehicle.

Click the "Apply and Exit" button in the upper right corner of the Appearance panel.

Removed inscriptions are retained and can be reused on the same vehicle or on any other vehicle for which this style is available. You can also sell inscriptions purchased for gold coins: right-click on the style and select "Sell".

To purchase the selected inscription, click the Buy button to the right above the design panel. In the window that appears, click Buy and Exit.

If you change your mind about buying an item you don't want to make, uncheck the Confirm changes box before confirming your purchase. To cancel all purchases, press Esc and then confirm to exit without saving changes.

If the inscription is removed or replaced - the element will go to the store and will be available for free reuse. If the inscription is in stock, their number appears in the lower-left corner of the preview next to the character in the design panel.

You can also sell them. To do this, when editing the appearance, which is located in the inscription tab, you must right-click on the character and select Sales.

Inscription	History
Беспощадный (Merciless)	The name was given to the heavy tank KV-1, it was a gift from the group of cartoonists "Kukryniksy" to the Red Army. The tank was made in May by the CCP (Chelyabinsk Kirov Plant) as a "plan" in M. Macagon's brigade. The machine was assigned on May 25, 1942, to the crew of the 6th (later renamed 23rd) Guards Tank Brigade composed of tank commander Lieutenant P. Choroshilov (died in March 1943 near the village of Ashkovo), senior mechanic-driver E. Carapin, younger technician-driver G. Filipov, shooter-radio operator A. Yegorov (died in March 1943 near the village of Ashkovo).
Ейский колхозник (Yeysk farmer)	The name was given to the T-34 tank number 4. The acquisition of funds for the construction of the tank began thanks to the initiative of Yeisk employees. A total of 380,508 rubles from Yeisk County workers contributed to the construction of the tank.
Боевая подруга (Fighting girlfriend)	Maria Vasilyev was an extraordinary Soviet woman who decided to avenge her husband's death at all costs. Vasilyevna learned of her husband's death with considerable delay. She sent a letter to Stalin stating that she wanted revenge on the Nazi "dogs" for the death of her beloved husband and therefore sent all her savings to the National Bank so that a tank could be built for her. To her surprise, Stalin agreed. tank, a legendary T-34 named "fighting girlfriend", and underwent five months of tank training as a driver, so that she could fully participate in the fighting. This also succeeded later. In September 1943, she was sent to the 26th Tank Brigade as a driver and mechanic. Отважный (Courageous)	Commander Courageous in the T-34-76 tank took part in the attack of the Red Army in the late 42's and died in a battle near the village of Pogorelki. Around 2009, Sergei Chibinev, a resident of Pushkin near Moscow, found fragments of the reservoir in the Rzhevsky area and began to restore it. Neither the identification marks nor the personal documents of the deceased crew survived. It was decided that the tank would go to the museum of military equipment in the Sverdlovsk region.
Зверобой (Hunter)	The Soviet SU-152 was called the "Hunter" for its ability to pierce the hulls and armor of tanks. In the Wehrmacht, the tank was called "Dosenöffner" (literally - "can opener").
Мстители Донбасса (Donbas avengers)	After the expulsion of the Germans by the inhabitants of Gorlovka (Donetsk region) was built a crowd of T-34 tanks "Liberated Donbas". One of the tanks called "Avengers of Donbas" was built from the personal resources of brothers Zolotek and F. Советский полярник (Soviet polar explorer)	The name of the tank, designed by a team that worked in Kozhevnikov Bay. Polar explorers Tiksi, Dixon, Malaya Kheta, Provideniya, Anadyr, and others. Within a few months, more than 20 million rubles were spent on construction.
Червонный (Chervonny)	In the tank with this name was the first crew of Dmitry Frolikov, who fell on July 3, 1944, in the streets of Minsk. "Chervonny" destroyed two enemy anti-aircraft weapons, a heavily armored self-propelled gun Ferdinand and an anti-tank gun.

За Родину! (For the Motherland!)	According to archival data from the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the tank "For the Fatherland" was made as a copy of the tank KV-220. За Ленинград! (For Leningrad!) За Сталина! (For Stalin!)	One of the tanks with such an inscription is a T-34 made at the Stalingrad Tractor Plant. He belonged to the 5th Armored Army on the Bryansk Front and took part in hostilities in the summer of 1942. The tank was painted in the standard dark green color and had a non-standard designation in white or yellow: the number "07" in front of the star and the inscription "For Stalin!".
Димитрий Донской (Dimitrij Donskij)	Tank T-34/85, "Dmitry Donsky" - 38 Independent Tank Regiment, Ukraine 1944. The tank was created on the initiative of the Moscow Patriarchate for the gifts of believers. It was transferred in 1944 to the USSR Naval Forces. The unit consisted of 19 T-34-85 tanks and 21 OT-34 flamethrowers.
Владимир Маяковский (Vladimir Majakovskij)	Artist and writer Vladimir Nikolayevich Yakhontov (born November 28, 1899) had one big dream: to build a tank for his own money, call it "Vladimir Mayakovsky" and send it to the front. The request of a well-known writer was heard. The Kirov plant accepted the order and fulfilled everything down to the last detail.
Иван Сусанин ((Ivan Susanin)	A report in the newspaper "Truth" on December 12, 1942. Fellow farmers from the Yaroslavl region collected 70 million rubles to build several troops of the tank.
Илья Муромец (Ilja Muromec)	September 9, 1942, in the battle in the village of Mikheevo, the tank crew destroyed 2 medium-sized tanks. The tanks were hit, but the crew evacuated them from the battlefield. Major M. Kupernyuk decided to grant the crew of the KV-1 tank the honorary title of "Ilya Muromec".

Щорс (Nikolaj Sčors)	In 1919, he commanded the first Ukrainian Soviet division, which conquered Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Zmerynka. The Red Army advanced further west, destroying Symon Petliura's military forces in Rovno and Proskurov. On August 15, 1919, the first Ukrainian division became part of the 44th Rifle Division of the Red Army. On August 21 of the same year, Nikolai Schors became the commander of this division. He died under not entirely clear circumstances on August 30, 1919, during the fighting with the Ukrainian Galician Army in the Zhytomyr region.
За Радянську Україну! (For Soviet Ukraine!)	The name of several tank divisions. The first consisted of 21 Churchill IV tanks, which were purchased at the expense of soldiers of the Southwest Front (22 million rubles). The second consisted of T-34 tanks, built for the money of people from evacuated enterprises of Ukraine and residents of the occupied areas.

Даёшь Берлин! (To Berlin!)	These inscriptions were applied to tank turrets, which came from a tank assembly line in the Urals in the spring of 1945.
Ленинградец (Resident of Leningrad)	Leningrad workers contributed a total of 74.5 million rubles to the construction of the tank "Leningradec", aircraft and artillery.
