Hello fellas ! Is this campaign having an ending time or it lasts till u finish ?

Mission 1 task 3

Hey so the mission to hit ships with 6 torpedos, with ships only didn't work with my aircraft carrier, does that mean that it is not a ship and i have to do it with a different class? Any help would be appreciated.
