Pros and Cons

Pros:

Performance

This is a very large aircraft with one of the highest hitpoint pools in its tier, use that to your advantage as ramming attacks are really quite effective. The incredible firepower can decimate any opponent willing to pass in front of your nose, so use those opportunities. As a ground attack aircraft the firepower in it's guns is it's primary weapon, just don't get so tunnel-visioned that you forget the poor maneuverability and start to pull out too late. The poor maneuvering is typical of a lot of later Russian Il-2 line, so get used to it now. Pay close attention to the map, as without support you are very vulnerable, like any dedicated ground attack aircraft. Overall, use the massive firepower, watch the ground, and let your rear gunner do a lot of the work.
