- free redistribution of commander skill points for the commanders that came with the submarines
- no upgrades, camouflages, signals, researchable modules
Depths
0-6 m under the surface (Surface Level)
Pros:
- faster
- can capture/block areas
- battery is recharged regardless of speed
- fast battery recharge
- higher spotting range
- torpedoes can be used like with a normal ship
- cannot be hit by depth charges
- your Radio Location skill is active (if you have it)
Cons:
- can be hit with shells, ship- and airborne torpedoes, aerial bombs, and rockets
- highest detectability range
- Emitting sonar pings while on the surface increases the submarine's detectability more significantly than while underwater.
- can't detect enemy submarines that are 30 m or more under the surface, even if distance < 2 km (but is detected by them)
- you can be located by enemy ships/submarines which are at the surface and have the Radio Location skill
6-80 m under the surface (Submerged)
Pros:
- detectability reduced
- cannot be hit with shells, ship- and airborne torpedoes, aerial bombs, and rockets
- Emitting sonar pings increases the detectability less.
- you cannot be located by enemy ships/submarines with the Radio Location skill
Cons:
- can be hit by depth charges
- battery charge is depleted when moving underwater at speeds higher than 1/4, and when reversing.
- battery recharges only when speed is between 0 and 1/4
- slow battery recharge
- cannot capture/block areas
- speed drops significantly
- spotting range decreases to the value of torpedo range.
- enemies that are detected by your team but are beyond your spotting range are not shown on your minimap
- can't detect aircraft
- no aircraft (neither enemy nor allied) are shown on your minimap
- your Radio Location skill is not active
6-30 m under the surface (Detection Depth)
- detectability range reduced but > 0 km
Cons:
- the Hydrophones on destroyers allow them to determine the approximate location of the submarine.
30-80 m under the surface
Pros:
- detectability range is 0 km
- can be detected only by ships with Hydroacoustic Search, and by submerged submarines if distance < 2 km
- not detected by ships/submarines at surface even if distance < 2 km (but detects them)
30-50 m under the surface (Operating Depth)
Cons:
- the Hydrophones on destroyers allow them to determine the approximate location of the submarine.
50-80 m under the surface (Maximum Depth)
- only reachable while Maximum Depth consumable is active
Additional pros:
- invisible to enemy hydrophones
- reduced damage from depth charge explosions
Submarine Controls
- The W, A, S, and D keys control horizontal movement.
- Press F to ascend.
- Press C to dive.
- Ctrl+F and Ctrl+C lock the horizontal rudders to either ascend or dive.
- 1—sonar pings.
- 2—torpedoes.
- Press 1 again to choose between two sonar ping options: wide and slow, or narrow and fast.
Sonar Pings
- wide and slow, or narrow and fast
- needs enough battery charge
- reduces battery charge
- temporarily increases detectability range (for 20 seconds if detected)
Battery Charge
- needed for sonar pings
- reduced by sonar pings
- fast recharge at surface level
- slow recharge when submerged and speed between 0 and 1/4
- reduced when submerged and speed higher than 1/4 (or reversing)
Depth Charges
- on all destroyers
- on cruisers Dallas, Leander, Budyonny, Perth
- damage submerged submarines (except allies)
- do not damage submarines/ships at the surface
- can cause fires and floodings
- reduced damage when submarine is 50 m or more under the surface (using Max. Depth consumable)

Hydrophone
- on most destroyers (not on Västerås)
- allows them to determine the approximate location of the submarine, except when submarine is 50 m or more under the surface (using Max. Depth consumable)
- Range: 6 km
Hydroacoustic Search
The Hydroacoustic Search consumable can detect a submarine at any depth.
Smoke
- Submarine at detection depth is not detected by enemies at surface that are in smoke even if distance < 2 km (but detects them).
Radio Location Skill
- does not locate submerged enemy submarines
- on submarine: only active when at surface level
Teams
- 12 vs. 12.
- Teams are filled with bots if there are not enough players.
- It seems that there are never more than 3 submarines per team.
Maps
- Neighbors
- Trident
Battle Modes
- Standard
- Domination with 4 areas
