Flood chance as a percentage makes no sense

Hi, I struggle to understand why the flood chance is expressed as a percentage value, or more to the point, how that percentage is higher than 100% most of the times. It makes no sense. This would mean that "more than edvery torpedo" of this type hitting a target causes flooding. A flood chance of 400% would mean that one torpedo would cause four floodings, while multiple instances of flooding are not even possible as per the game mechanics.

I have read the corresponding formula on the wiki page on flooding and that doesn't explain it any better, either. The values appear to be some kind of probability quantifier or factor. But they do certqainly not appear to be what regular people (and even the mathematically inclined) associate with a 'percentage'.--Nautical_Metaphor:eu (talk) 11:22, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Percentages is just the way WG has chosen to perform the calculation. It doesn't make sense, but that's how it works (and why you don't always get a flood out of torpedo hits).SeaRaptor00:na (talk) 03:20, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
