?|History= Hakuryu (白竜) was a never built Japanese carrier design based on improvements to the Taiho-class. Given the designation Project Number G18, planning and development started in 1944 following the IJN defeat at the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the loss of Taiho. Hoping to improve on the flaws that led to Taiho's sinking, IJN naval engineers drew plans that included more reinforced armor, better damage control, larger hanger space, and larger deck area. The Japanese Naval Command hoped to construct the carrier in 10 months, however due to the lack of resources and trained pilots that Japan had suffered due to attrition, the plans were scrapped in favor of the more economical Unryu-class carriers.+
