Mikoyan — Soviet Premium Tier IV Cruiser.

A cruiser project that preceded the creation of the Kirov-class ships. The main armament of the cruiser consisted of powerful 180 mm guns that were one of the first artillery systems developed in the U.S.S.R.

Mikoyan was released as the reward for the completing the Cosmic Terror 5 level of the Planet Clash game mode from March 25 to April 14th, 2024.

Player Opinion


Pros:

  • Powerful AP shells with good damage and very high penetration
  • Fairly comfortable ballistics, high shell velocity and flat arcs
  • Equipped with torpedoes with very wide firing arcs
  • High top speed and good rudder shift
  • Excellent main battery range



Cons:

  • Only six guns with a long reload; poor DPM
  • Hilariously poor armor, the citadel belt is only 35mm thick and rises above the waterline
  • Very low HP pool
  • Very weak and short ranged AA suite
  • Torpedoes are very short ranged
  • Massive turning circle radius, the ship bleeds a lot of speed during hard turns
