According to US copyright law, the T92 images would be classified as a work of the US government, and as such, would be considered to be in public domain, under Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US code. Can someone else verify? Lup0s 05:11, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Those images clearly show they were used by Life magazine, and may still be covered under copyright law. If you can find the same pictures on a government site and marked as the work of the US Government, then we can publish them.--3BAC 13:03, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
