The Regia Aeronautica was one of the strongest rivals of the allies during WW2. Mainly focused on the development of multiple fighters and bombers to dominate the skies in the European theater, the fighters were designed for high speed and high-altitude combat along with long-range interceptors that provide support to friendly bombers.
The game only features one heavy fighter, the tier VII Savoia-Marchetti SM.91, which was designed to pack a punch to enemy aircraft and long range missions, although most designs never passed the prototype stage.
