Does the Massachusetts still have a place in the new sniping meta?

One of the fundamental strengths of the Massachusetts has been its ability to brawl with its fast heal and secondary guns that still work however, it's ability to push have been lately limited. In maps where there are less islands such as the tears of the dessert, caps A and C have relative little islands which makes pushing hard.

Despite this, there are tools that the Massachusetts have in its sleeves namely: -the fast heals. In a Bismarck, you have to wait for 80 seconds for each heal which forces you to play passively. However in the Massa, your heal is the heals the same for most battleships but, with its fast heal, you can survive in more aggressive situations or tank well against he spam.

-the lowered citadel. Like the Alaska or Puerto Rico, the citadel is hard to find especially in close distances which is why even if you aim for the waterline or the front turrets, you only get pens or overpens. The same is true with the Massa because of its low citadel which is why on brawling situations, you have the luxury of going broadside to present all of your guns and take little damage in return.

-the secondaries. Unlike the german ones, they do not penetrate battleship armor but in return, they are still accurate despite the nerfed manual secondaries skill. Your secondaries are able to pen 21mm of armor, which is found in all dds even in high tier and with your fast firing and accurate secondaries, destroyers, cruisers and battleships will hesitate getting near you because of the crazy fire chance and high accuracy.

-the aa guns. One thing I found not often talked about in the Massachusetts is its good AA. Sure it used to be good when aa skills were part of secondary builds but despite not building for anti air, the Massachusetts is still strong. The flak damage is disgusting and I've shot down at most 51 planes in a t8 cv battle and surviving it (lol).

In general, the Massachusetts still has its place in the game. It might not be as great as a tank as it was in the previous patch but its ability to brawl has remained relatively the same and ultimately, with it's accurate secondaries, you scare off destroyers from rushing you.

So is the Massachusetts still worth buying before it leaves? Yes. It is one of the few premiums that I have loved and despite the updated commander skills, it is still strong as it is survivable with it's fast heals and strong with its hard hitting guns.

Not immune to Citadel hits

Someone stated, above, that Massachussetts, is immune to Citadel hits, because of the lowered Citadel, it might be true in case of brawling fights, but already at a distante of 7 Km the ship can take Citadel hits, not from many ships, the Iowas, Montana and Georgia can hit her Citadel just by aiming under B Turret and firing AP Shells, I managed to score said hits against both still and moving Massachussetts, best say to accomplish it, is to move in the opposite direction of the target, this way the shells will fall toward the rear of the ship, and land on the ship citadel, with no problem; against a target that is standing still is all a matter of pracitce and a bit of RNG.
