What about MB Mod 2?

What about the Slot 3 upgrade Main Battery Mod 2? It's not mentioned in the recommendations. iDuckman:na (talk)

Why would you want to make the slowest reload time in the American battleship line (34.3 seconds) even worse (36 seconds)? It's not worth it for a such a small bump in turret traverse. Expert Marksman is a much larger improvement, and doesn't penalize you by having you burn and flood more frequently.SeaRaptor00:na (talk) 13:57, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

Slot 3 Upgrade

Slot 3 doesn't offer AA Guns Modification 1 (+2 to number of explosions produced by salvos from medium and long-range AA defenses).

Up to date info for Slot 3 Equipment

Since what is said above is outdated and might mislead new players here something up to date: Main Battery Modifications 2 allows your main guns to turn faster, very helpful when combined with Expert Marskman, after Update 0.9.4 in early 2020 said equipment dosen't increase your realod speed anymore, so since New York isn't some a sniper Battleship like Iowa (Tier 9 American Battleship), but it's a brawler, haveing your main batteries turn faster, it's really helpfull. Artillery Plotting Room isn't useful since there is no point for a brawler Battleship to shoot far, because the horrid dispersion will prevent from hitting anything. Secodary Battery Modification 1 is not to be used when mounting the B Hull since the secondary guns will be just 3 for each side, and are slow firing. AA Guns modification 1 isn't woth using anymore since all the 40mm Bofors have been removed, and 4 installtion of Quadruple 28mm Chicago Piano (some of the most uselss AA of all the game) have been used to replace the Bofors.
