Template talk:MapData
Template should be edited to include the replay names, which differ from the in-game names. A lot of these names bear no resemblance to their in-game names, making finding replays trying for those who don't know what they're named internally.
Arctic Region: "mannerheim_line" Northwest: "north_america" Serene Coast: "canada_a" Hidden Village: "japan" Abbey: "monastery" South Coast: "crimea" Mountain Pass: "caucasus" Pearl River: "asia_miao" Kharkov: "kharkiv" Windstorm: "winter" Sand River: "desert" Mines: "hills" Sacred Valley: "asia_korea"
I'd edit the template myself, along with data about which battle modes the map can appear in, but the page is protected.

It would also make a whole lot more sense to store the data in subpages (or just one page) and transclude them based on the variable given in the Map template. Would be far easier to manage, and allow editing of the text while still keeping the template protected. As a general rule, it's really, really bad form to keep data in a template page; templates should be data-driven, not data sources.

- Maps are scheduled for an overhaul beginning later this month. Will take feedback into consideration. ForcestormX:na (talk) 20:51, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
