The STA-2 is a Japanese tier 8 premium medium tank.

61式戦車 (Type 61) は、日本としては戦後初の国産戦車であり、アメリカ軍の車輌を参考にしつつも、日本の地形特性や鉄道網の仕様、日本人の体格を考慮して開発されました。この STA-2 は、61式戦車の一次試作車として 2 輌製造されたうちの一方であり、STA-1 に比して全長は短く、車高は高くなっていました。
