Camouflage (WoT)/China
Below is a list describing the historical camouflage that is available to the China nation.
The list is divided into categories according to the type of map:
- - Summer;
- - Winter;
- - Desert.
Camouflage "Large spots"
From the late 1960s to present. Still in use.
Camouflage "Three-tone"
From the 1980s. Used in the north of China, especially in summer.
Camouflage "Two-tone PLA"
A variant of the PLA´s camouflage of the 1950s.
Camouflage "Two-tone spotted"
Late 1940s through 1950s. Early camouflage type introduced by the PLA.
Camouflage "Dark disruptive"
1950s. Early camouflage type introduces by PLA.
Camouflage "Late three-tone"
Until the late 1980s. The PLA´s basic three-tone camouflage.
Camouflage "Early multicolor"
From the mid-1950s. Black spots and lights-colored stripes on a basic background.
Camouflage "Light disruptive"
A variation of the PLA´s camouflage of the mid-20th century.
Camouflage "Three-tone"
From the 1990s. Used in the north-east of China, especially in summer.
Camouflage "Three-tone"
From the 1980s. Used in South China, especially in summer.
Camouflage "Two-tone disruptive
1980s. A scheme used in the south of China in spring and fall.
Camouflage "Three-tone digital"
Geometric colored spots divide a vehicle silhouette into fragments. Still in use.
Camouflage "Winter white"
Late 1940s though late 1950s. A vehicle was painted white with lime or another dye.
Camouflage "Two-tone winter
From the 1950s to the 1960s. White paint was applied to the vehicle´s hull. The background bled through the paint in the form of stripes or spots.
Camouflage "Two-tone winter"
From the late 1940s to the early 1950s. White stripes on the standard background.
Camouflage "Multicolor desert"
From the late 1980s. Late dazzle-patterned camouflage type for desert regions.
Camouflage "Three-tone desert"
Green stripes of different shades on a yellow background. Used by the PLA until the beginning of the 21st century.
