Camouflage (WoT)/S.S.S.R.

Below is a list describing the historical camouflage that is available to the U.S.S.R. nation.

The list is divided into categories according to the type of map:

- Summer;

- Winter;

- Desert.

Camouflage "Summer two-tone"

Brown stripes on a dark-green background. Used by the 334th Heavy SPG Regiment.

Camouflage "Karelian large spots"

Used by the 1st Tank Division in Karelia.

Camouflage "Geometrical three-tone"

Used by the 1st Tank Division of the 1st Mechanized Corps in Karelia.

Camouflage "Summer three-tone"

Brown stripes applied on a basic background. Used by the units based near Leningrad.

Camouflage "Tree branches"

Used in the 6th Tank Army

Camouflage "Three-tone large spots"

Used by the South-West Special Military Force.

Camouflage "Two-tone disruptive trimmed"

Widely used in the summer of 1941.

Camouflage "Winter white"

White lime or other white dyes were applied to the standard background in one or more layers. The pattern was used during World War II.

Camouflage "Katukovsky winter"

Winter 1941 through 1942. Used in the 1 st Guards Brigade. Based on the pre-war standard winter camouflage.

Camouflage "Spring"

April 1942. Lime was applied on a green background and then smeared to achieve different degrees of transparency.

Camouflage "Two-tone small spots"

Widely used from 1941 through 1945.

Camouflage "Large spots"

Used during the initial stage of World War II. Commonly used by units based in the western regions of the Soviet Union.

Camouflage "Diagonal"

Applied in accordance with pre-war requirements during the initial stages of World War II. It proved ineffective and was withdrawn.

Camouflage "Four-tone early"

Brown, yellow, and light-brown paint on a basic background.
