Black — American Premium Tier VII Destroyer.

One of the numerous and very successful Fletcher-class destroyers which boasted a suffienciently high speed, powerful dual-purpose artillery, efficient AA defenses, and decent torpedo armament.

Black was released as one of the final rewards of the Lucky Six campaign, which took place from June 20th to July 25th, 2022.

Pros:

  • Extremely fast main battery traverse speed
  • Very quick main battery rate of fire
  • Torpedoes have very low detectability, good reload speed, good range and high alpha damage
  • Has access to the Surveillance RadarLegends_Surveillance_Radar.pngconsumable
  • Decent AA suite for a destroyer
  • Good turning circle radius and quick rudder-shift time

Cons:

  • Poor shell velocity and very high arcs make long range gunnery difficult
  • Torpedoes are exceptionally slow
  • Slower ship speed than tech-tree counterpart Fletcher
  • Needs to get rid of its Engine BoostLegends_Engine_Boost.pngconsumable to get Surveillance RadarLegends_Surveillance_Radar.png, which prevents it from getting the important speed boost it needs due to its low speed
