Brest — French Tech Tree Tier VIII Cruiser.

After proposals for a cruiser with a 23,333-ton displacement were rejected due to limited capabilities, further development was focused on increasing the firepower and size of the ship. This led to a 26,500-ton design mounting eight new 13-inch (330 mm) guns in two quadruple-gun turrets—the foundation that eventually became the Dunkerque-class battleships.
