Broken page

The WoWs page of European ships is broken and do not show any ships in the categories: https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Ships_of_Europe It only displays "Unable to find any active game databases" instead of ships. Axillent:eu (talk) 13:58, 26 January 2020 (UTC) Problem fixed. Axillent:eu (talk) 21:08, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Links

In the article on the M18 Hellcat several links will not render correctly, notably the Jackson link rendering as "[[Jacks" in the "Cons" list (despite rendering correctly one line above). Apologies if this is the wrong place for this, I cannot find per article talk pages. ErikaFurudo:na (talk) 11:01, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Isoruku_Yamamoto requesting assistance

Hello all, Isoruku_Yamamoto here. I've been trying to figure out how to get proper moderation rights or help for a while now, can any of you guys help me out? It's about the WoWP wiki. Isoruku_Yamamoto:eu (talk) 12:25, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Update map list

Can we get the wiki maps list updated to show only current maps in game on one list and removed maps on a separate list please, so it's easier to see which maps are in play?

Not Sure Where To Put This

I am not sure of how to report a problem with a page, but this page Has had the original article edited in a form of vandalism to show an extreme bias concerning the tank. This is not what I would expect to read when referring to the WIKI to check out a tank. If this is not the place to put this, can someone tell me where to report it? -Talen1066

Maps

Are there (high res) maps available for in the wiki? Possible heatmaps, attack patterns, etc? Or is that material for post-release? --Janishri:eu (talk) 20:03, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

While heatmaps and such can be found on vBAddict, they are usually outdated when maps become updated or new maps are introduced. I suppose this stuff can be included within the map pages under a strategy section, but it's up to you and others to edit in the info from countless sources. --Haswell:na (talk) 04:08, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
But is the content of these pages not coming from Wargaming itself? And to explain myself some more, I am talking about the World of Warships maps, not WoT. --Janishri:eu (talk) 08:40, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
WG can provide minimaps (and sometimes screenshots), but the rest is up to the players. The amazing Llamaclysm has very helpfully setup the maps page for WoWS with the appropriate list of maps, feel free to contribute and start adding strategy guide and such to those pages. --Haswell:na (talk) 17:54, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

Translation (ENG to FR)

Hello, I'm discovering this little wiki and the first think I tried is to switch to the french version (my native langage). No translation found, no right to do the job :-). How could I help ? Is there a way to create a "French tree". Guess the french community is numerous and I bet that some people will be motivated enough. Hope this msg will be read. Thx

--raoullevert24:eu (talk) 22:57, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

If you can get enough people to help out with the French translation, by all means feel free to start translating pages as you please. If you come across protected pages or titles that need translation, leave a note and I'll see about granting you and the other translators editing rights. --Haswell:na (talk) 14:05, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

IS listings broken

We have a problem. Currently the links on the Soviet and Heavy tank pages point to this link

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:R01_IS

which is empty.

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:IS

has content but it won't render due to something being broken in the syntax.

Can someone fix this? djbrianuk:eu (talk) 23:00, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Several Tank articles broken

Seems several tank articles are broken(tank data does not display, no picture, all the article information renders on a narrow slot on right of the page), and had broken links in the relevant tanks section, such as the Pz. III. Since I cannot move pages, I used redirects. --Snake_Keeper:eu (talk) 11:01, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, found quite a few german ones:

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:G77_PzIV_Schmalturm

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:G88_Indien_Panzer
https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:G03_PzV_Panther
In case it's the originating page that's the issue, these urls are used on the Germany overview: https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank_nations_germany

Whole wiki suffers from this, FCM 36 Pak 40 for instance is broken due to the actual page being named FCM_36PAK40... there seems to be no standard in the page names, nor is the actual information (modules etc) reachable for normal editors. Same goes for templates, as the naming spaces are so different from the normal wiki standards. BP_OMowe:eu (talk) 23:01, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
Fixed all (I hope). --XXN:na (talk) 20:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Wargaming wiki Mediawiki

Who has access to server side of this wiki? I'd like to request new usefull features for users (related to interface, rights). --XXN:na (talk) 12:36, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

Please update game seen/unseen logic, bigger maps and other ideas.

Seen and hidden logic should be upgraded to a multi level accuracy model. I can see the sharp edge of the enemy only if I am very near to it, on the contrary if I am away I could have an idea where it is but not the sharp edge and the type of tank. This would push more real battle where you have to get in touch with the enemy in order to fight and give less power to lighter tank to spot enemies by just wandering around. Please allow bigger maps so that multiple points of fight and the related strategies are available . No map edges could be also a great option since no safe border will be available and the teams would be focus to complete missions instead of killing all the enemies. At last I think that doing battles without knowing all the enemies tank list would be more interesting and realistic (always like great battle round). Giving less abilities to crews against more optional to be installed on a tanks would give more uneven battles. What do you think about these points? --mbordoni:eu

Is there really no discussion since 2016?

I'm looking to see if there's a place for interested parties to learn how to contribute and be involved. Not so much the wiki-language tutorials you can find on their page, but stuff specific to this site. I'd particularly like to help in getting pages up for WoWs:Legends. I'm also curious to see if there's a way to access and leverage data about ships to make some comparison tables - let people sort, say, Tier 5 destroyers by torpedo range or surface detectable range, and so on. Missing nations on WoWP main page

Can someone with power fix this?

UK is missing. There is now a tree called EU which includes these nations: Czech, France, Israel, Poland, Sweden. France and Poland are there but not the others.

Creating pages for missing tanks

I have noticed that many vehicles are missing from the WoT PC pages. I have tried to create the pages for some of these vehicles however I do not understand how to get the wiki to autofill the info for these pages (the Tank: section seems to be directly related to this but looking at other pages I do not see how to get it to work). Can someone with more knowledge on the workings of this site explain to me how this works?
