Duncan — British Tech Tree Tier VIII Battleship.

The G3 project became the development of the 1920 series of battlecruisers. The reduction of the gun caliber to 16.5 inches (419 mm), as well as the length and displacement, was what distinguished it from previous optimistic designs. In the beginning of 1921, the project was reworked to increase the ship's protection at the expense of speed and gun caliber. According to an order issued in October 1921, four ships of the project were to be constructed, but the process was halted due to the beginning of the Washington Conference and was later canceled based on its results.

Player Opinion


Pros:

  • Great set of consumables
  • High top speed
  • Torpedoes have a quick reload time, good range and speed, and the highest damage in the game.
  • Torpedoes can be launched almost straight forward thanks to the turning mechanic
  • Great main battery HE shell performance
  • Good AA suite



Cons:

  • Only two torpedoes; one per side. Torpedoes can't be launched backwards
  • Large turning circle radius
  • Low Sigma at 1.6
  • Bow and stern are only 25 mm thick and the citadel is very exposed
  • Does not have any main battery turret at the rear; being ambushed from behind is something to avoid
