Kii — Japanese Premium Tier VII Battleship.

This high-speed battleship was designed under the 1920 shipbuilding program. The ship was a further development of the Amagi-class battleship design. Compared with her predecessor, she had heavier armor protection. The Kii-class battleships were canceled as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1922.

Player Opinion


Pros:

  • Incredible broadside firepower, with ten 410mm guns on 5 turrets.
  • Unlike Amagi, Kii can launch 3 torpedoes per side for close range engagements.
  • An AA suite comparable of American counterparts.
  • Has both the strong AP and HE shells that Amagi has.
  • More HP than her tech-tree counterpart.



Cons:

  • Lacks the torpedo defense system of its sister ship Amagi.
  • Sigma value of 1.7 is worse than Amagi's.
  • Thin citadel plating and largely ineffective turtleback means that she will be citadelled with ease, brawl only with extreme caution.
  • Less torpedo protection than her tech-tree counterpart.
