Operation Raptor Rescue

Basics of Scenarios

What are they?

Scenarios are a Player vs. Environment (PvE) game mode in which you team up with up to six other players to complete several tasks. Do well and you are rewarded. Do poorly, and you have wasted a lot of time. The emphasis of this game mode is on teamwork in order to complete objectives. The more objectives you complete, the more rewards you earn.

What ships can I take?

Currently, these scenarios allow any Tier V or Tier VI ships. Keep in mind that you typically want to take Tier VI ships if possible, loaded with signal flags and premium consumables.

What can I earn?

Depending on the tasks you complete, you can earn signal flags up to a day of premium time. At the end of each operation, a splash screen will appear to break down your earned rewards. Use this to gauge your success.

About Operation Raptor Rescue

Raptor is a Ranger class aircraft carrier, and she is in need of your help! Repel wave after wave of enemy ships and fight to keep her alive!

Enemies

You will encounter many Japanese enemies - from Tier IV up to Tier VI.

Suggested Ships

An aircraft carrier, preferably Ryujo will be a substantial asset.
Battleships like Fuso are somewhat useful.
Cruisers that have smoke like Leander or fast rate of fire like Cleveland are well suited to this mission.
Destroyers can help by providing smoke for the Raptor (Farragut) or torpedoing enemies (Fubuki).

Objectives

Primary

- Escort the floating workshop Engineer to Raptor
- Take Raptor out of the action zone

Secondary

- Save the support ships (Engineer, Arsenal, Aviator)
- Destroy 3 ships within a minute
- Destroy the carrier Haoto
- Destroy the carrier Tatsu

Walkthrough

Tips for Success

- Do not sail alone. Often, you will be tempted to chase after the enemy, especially the second wave. If you do so, however, you will be out of range to support the group when the third enemy arrives. In addition, you will not have backup.

- Engineer will repair you if you stay within its' circle. This is very important for ships that do not have the Repair Party consumable.

- Focus fire in order to take down ships and their guns ASAP!

- Enemy ships typically focus on damaged players first. If you are damaged, expect to be targeted. If you are not damaged, you may be able to loiter within secondary range of enemy ships and not take damage.

- Enemy ships with torpedoes fire torpedoes once you're in their firing arc. So if you don't want to be torpedoed, stay directly in front/behind them!
