Update 13.11 delivers the following:

Claim Your Free Ship!

In Update 13.11 the Expedition to the North Pole, featuring the adventures Li Wei and Olaf Lundgren, which began with Update 13.8, will be ending. With its conclusion, exciting New Year gifts will be awaiting you!

A final chapter ends: Dec 1, 09:00 AM

Claim a Tier VIII Tech Tree ship as a guaranteed reward even if you haven't played during this event or — if you have actively participated in the expedition — receive a Tier X Tech Tree ship along with some extra rewards.

Previously announced rewards are IJN DD VIII Akizuki, RN CV VIII Implacable, USN BB VIII North Carolina, KM SS VIII U-190, KM BB X Schlieffen, IJN DD X Shimakaze, RN CV X Audacious, and USN SS X Balao,

It's time to reveal the final additions to the list of ships you can get — Pan-Asia CL VIII Harbin and NL CB X Gouden Leeuw.

You still have time to gather enough Expedition Tokens to upgrade your gift by completing special mission chains!

Starting from December 1st, log into the game to grab your holiday present! If you choose a ship that you already have in your Port, you will receive Free XP Free XP as compensation.

Wonders of the Arctic

We’ve prepared a special celebration as another year comes to a close, so you can be sure that Update 13.11 will bring lots of gifts and activities.

Nordlyshavn Port

Update 13.11 takes us to a new interactive Port complete with a Christmas Tree that’s just waiting for you to decorate it.

Fight battles to earn festive ornaments — as you expand your collection of these pretty things and decorate your tree with them, you’ll unlock themed rewards! Decorating your Festive tree with 10 ornaments will reward you with 1 day of {{PremAcct} World of Warships Premium Account, 1x Winter Strands permanent camouflage, and 1x Santa's Gift container. If you manage to collect all the unique ornaments, you’ll receive 1x New Year Sky permanent camouflage, 3x More Coal containers, and the By the Fireplace flag.

Advent Calendar

Starts: Dec 1, 09:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Jan 1, 12:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

If the Christmas Tree is the spark that ignites your festive spirit, then the Advent Calendar — replacing daily login rewards in December — is just the thing to fan those flames of seasonal cheer into a roaring blaze!

From December 1 through 25, you can open one of the calendar’s cards each day and claim the gift it hides. Don’t worry if you miss a day, you can still catch up — just be sure to claim any missed reward the following day or it will stay out of reach forever. The final reward, unlocked on December 25, is a little different though and can be claimed until December 31, giving you enough time to digest all the Christmas food before rolling back to the computer! The regular daily login calendar will resume on January 1.

Festive Rewards

Starts: Dec 1, 09:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Jan 8, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

What would the holiday celebrations be without some Festive Rewards to enjoy? We don’t like to disappoint, so they will return and work the same way as they did for our 9th Anniversary event.

Festive Rewards will be available for every ship of Tier V and higher in your Port. To get a Festive Reward from a particular ship, you’ll need to cumulatively earn a set amount of Base XP in any battle type. Each ship offers one Festive Reward.

You can read more about the Festive Rewards mechanics here.

You don't have to play each ship individually to claim the rewards — simply complete a recurring cumulative mission that tasks you with earning 1,000 Base XP. The number of additional rewards you can obtain for each completion depends directly on the size of your fleet, but this should make it significantly easier for Captains with fewer ships and collectors with large fleets to claim everything.

If you earn more than 1,000 Base XP by the end of a battle (or several battles), the "leftovers" automatically carry over to the next iteration of this mission.

What all this means is that even after playing a particular ship and earning her Festive Reward, you can continue playing her to obtain additional rewards for other ships in your Port.

You can exchange Festive Certificates in a special Armory category to obtain the following rewards:

1x Santa's Gift container for 1x Festive Certificate
1x Santa's Mega Gift container for 5x Festive Certificates
Credits 375,000 Credits for 1x Festive Certificate

Sparkling Update to Santa's Containers

As Update 13.11 rolls around, Santa's containers are making their traditional return — and with some improvements!

First and foremost, there are only two types of these containers for this holiday event: Santa's Gift containers and Santa's Mega Gift containers. These are the two containers that have historically been most favored by you, our players.

We’ve also updated their contents, removing 23 ships and adding 18 recent ones, resulting in a total of 145 ships (compared to 150 last year).

Additionally, we’ve introduced a new reward that can drop from Santa's containers: the Golden Gift container. It contains a variety of valuable rewards such as Research Points; Steel; unique expendable bonuses; and of course, ships — IX Chikuma II, plus new X Prins van Oranje and X G. Hoffmann, including their golden variants!

You’ll be able to find the drop rates of these containers on the linked page once the update goes live.

This year's Santa's containers are new and will have their own guaranteed drop counters, not connected to the previous year's Santa's containers.

Enemy Destruction Effect

We're keeping the holiday train rolling with three new enemy destruction effects, expanding on the new feature we recently added to the game!

They will work very similarly to the effect introduced in Update 13.10 but with some holiday flair! You can equip enemy destruction effects on your individual ships to change the way you see enemy ships explode in the game if you’re the one who sends them to the bottom of the sea!

Enjoy Avalanche, Kaleidoscope of Butterflies, and Festive Fireworks! You will be able to find them in the Event Pass and Armory.

Event Pass: East and West

Update 13.11 features two themed Event Pass chapters, each dedicated to one of the two explorers you may have already met in previous updates—Li Wei and Olaf Lundgren.

Each chapter lasts for 3 weeks, features 25 levels, and functions as a standalone Event Pass. Once the first chapter ends, you won’t be able to complete it retroactively.

We’ve made both daily and weekly missions easier and placed the main rewards in the middle of the progression lines.

The price of unlocking the second progression line is the same as for last year — Doubloons 3,500 Doubloons per Event Pass.

Chapter 1: Adventure's Call

Starts: Nov 27, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Dec 18, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

The first chapter is dedicated to Li Wei, and this Commander with an individual voiceover is among the rewards of the first progression line. You’ll also find the Kaleidoscope of Butterflies enemy destruction effect, the Avid Explorer patch, and some Santa's Gift containers.

The second progression line offers the Adventure's Call flag, the Eastbound permanent camouflage, Santa's Gift containers, and 1x Santa's Mega Gift container. The crown jewel of the second progression line is VII Teng She in a festive permanent camouflage!

Chapter 2: Echoes of the Past

Starts: Dec 18, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Jan 8, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

The second chapter is dedicated to Olaf Lundgren.

The first progression line will reward you with the Polar Pursuit patch, Commander Olaf Lundgren with an individual voiceover, the Avalanche enemy destruction effect, and Santa's Gift containers.

Among the rewards of the second line, you’ll find the Echoes of the Past flag, the Westbound permanent camouflage, Santa's Gift containers, and 1x Santa's Mega Gift container. VII Lugdunum, with an icy permanent camouflage, is the main reward of the second progression line.

We share all details about the Event Pass in this publication. A video is here.

Niord and Kalmar at the Hamburg Dockyard

Starts: Nov 27, 04:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Feb 5, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

The Dockyard consists of 20 phases, 18 of which you can progress through via combat missions and two which must be purchased for Doubloons.

The construction of European battleship IX Niord has commenced at the Hamburg Dockyard.

The ship features eight accurate 380 mm main battery guns with a fast reload time. While its secondary guns are average, the ship boasts 20 torpedo tubes with a tight spread, capable of launching fast torpedoes with a long range. However, each torpedo deals low damage, while the tubes have a long reload time. Also, IX Niord has good concealment, strong AA defenses, and high speed, offset by low HP and a weak salvo weight of the main guns.

Each shipbuilding phase costs Doubloons 3,000 Doubloons. Starter Packs of two and six phases can be purchased for Doubloons 5,000 and Doubloons 12,600 Doubloons, respectively. These packs will only be available until you complete four phases through combat missions, so be sure to grab them early if you plan to take advantage of them!

This year's free ship won't be in the Event Pass; instead, you can unlock new European destroyer V Kalmar as an intermediate reward at the 8th shipbuilding phase of the Dockyard!

Dockyard combat missions may be completed during Update 13.11 and the first 3 weeks of Update 14.0. During the last week of Update 14.0, you'll only be able to progress in the Dockyard by purchasing shipbuilding phases for Doubloons. The Dockyard itself will remain in your Port until the start of Update 14.1.

You will find more details in a [ separate article].

STAR TREK. The Queen's Rage Operation

Starts: Nov 27, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)
Ends: Dec 11, 03:00 AM Central (UTC-6)

Starfleet Command has kicked off the third STAR TREK Operation, rallying Captains everywhere to join forces in a crucial mission to help the Vulcans stand strong against the relentless Borg threat. As the Borg threat intensifies, the Vulcans face imminent danger, and only through the combined efforts of Starfleet's finest can their survival be ensured. Ready your ships and crews, and join the fight to protect Vulcan from assimilation!

The Borg Queen is furious! The drones failed to assimilate Vulcan and she's taking control over the situation. Her three most capable drone minions are now handling the threat directly, with the Borg Queen guiding them from the heart of the Borg Cube. Powerful orbital strikes will back up the Borg forces on Vulcan as three ferocious waves are unleashed into the battle. But will it be enough? If not, the Borg Queen herself will descend to crush the united forces of the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, and Vulcans. Will you emerge victorious over her wrath?

At the beginning of the Operation, you must defend three control points at risk of falling to the Borg. You’ll face three enemy waves, each led by a powerful minion. Defending the control points will be tough, but losing one doesn’t mean the fight is over. Only if all forces are eliminated and all three points are captured will the battle end in total defeat!

The Science Division has detected six Borg vessels with valuable tech that could be salvaged. Take them down, and we’ll use their debris to strengthen our forces in this battle!

If you successfully defeat all of the Borg Queen's minions, she'll have no choice but to join the fight herself.

The third phase of the STAR TREK Operation reward track is about to unlock, offering Steel Steel, Free XP Free XP, Elite Commander XP Elite Commander XP, special and rare economic bonuses, signals, Star Tokens, and collection items. Complete secondary tasks to advance through the reward track and claim these rewards!

During this operation, you’ll also have the chance to earn 'Space, the Final Frontier' collection tokens as extra reward, after completing the reward track!

More information about the third STAR TREK Operation can be found in a [ separate article].
