Update 13.9: Red October
Update 13.9 delivers the following:
Contents
Mode Shuffle
Starts: Wed. Oct 2 4:00 AM Central (UTC-5)
Ends: Wed. Oct 30 3:00 AM Central (UTC-5)
Update 13.9 brings back Mode Shuffle — a battle type that places players in one of three game modes that focus on close-range encounters. This time, along with Convoy and Airship Escort, the list includes Epicenter, which hasn't been in the game for a while and will replace Arms Race.
- 12v12
- Tier VIII–X ships
- All ship types
- Divisions of up to 3 players
Ship type restrictions
- One aircraft carrier
- Up to six battleships
- Up to seven cruisers
- Up to four destroyers
- One submarine
Both Convoy and Airship Escort remain unchanged from the recent Mode Shuffle iteration, but for Epicenter, we've prepared several adjustments to make battles more dynamic. You'll fight to control three key zones: the outer ring, inner ring, and center of the map. Previously, each team received 5 points per 5 seconds of control over any of these zones; now, you'll get 5, 10, and 15 points for each 5 seconds you control the outer ring, inner ring, and the center of the map respectively.
Additionally, we've increased the number of team points you lose if the opposing team captures an area that was under your control. The number of points each team scores or loses for sinking an enemy ship or losing an allied one now is similar to other game modes.

Expedition to the North Pole Continues
Ends: Dec 1 3:00 AM Central (UTC-5)
Commanders Li Wei and Olaf Lundgren continue their journey to the North Pole, and many adventuring Captains have already followed in their wake. You should too, as this exciting endeavor can bring you an abundance of valuable rewards!
The second mission chain — Planning and Preparations — has been unlocked, and you can complete it throughout Update 13.9. The Expedition Tokens you'll earn from the mission chain in this update will bring you closer to upgrading your reward ship to Tier X! Once you've collected all the Tokens from this chain, you'll be able to get more when the Expedition continues with the next mission chain in Update 13.10.
Please note that you'll be able to choose your gift ship and collect all other rewards for Expedition to the North Pole only after the whole event is over on December 1.
Speaking of choosing your ship, we've already revealed that VIII N. Carolina and X Schlieffen are among the available rewards at Tiers VIII and X, respectively. Now, we're ready to share more details and name a few more of the ships you can choose from. You'll see one ship from each type at either Tier VIII or X, depending on your progress in the Expedition. This means you'll be able to choose the type you enjoy most, branch out into something you haven't played at high tiers yet, or simply grab a particular Tier X ship that might be missing from your collection!
We're happy to announce that VIII Implacable and VIII U-190 will be available at Tier VIII, while X Audacious and X Balao will join the roster at Tier X!
Keep your eyes on our future publications for the full list of ships to choose your gift from at the conclusion of Expedition to the North Pole. More details about the event are available here.

If you have any of the new Pan-American battleships, you can complete a special mission to get the Brigantine "25 de Mayo" commemorative flag until the end of Early Access period. The Pan-American battleship line will become available for all players to research with the release of Update 13.10.

Armory
Brennus
With the release of Update 13.9, a new French cruiser X Brennus will sail out on our virtual seas. She'll be available via the Research Bureau for 60,000 Research Points.
This variant of French cruiser Henri IV is a post-war incarnation of the "Croiseur de Bataille" concept and carries the name of famous Gallic chieftain, Brennus (4th century BC).
The new cruiser features a powerful main battery of seven 305 mm guns. This relatively low number of guns is compensated for by their fast reload, good accuracy, and high AP penetration. All this, along with her high speed, makes X Brennus a perfect choice for long-range battles. She has access to improved Engine Boost and Repair Party consumables in separate slots, and if she faces any enemy ships at close range, her six torpedoes per side can help win the day. It's worth noting though, that X Brennus has slow turret rotation, her salvo weight isn't something to write home about, and her armor is poor.
German Reunification
Starts: Oct 2 5:00 AM Central (UTC-5)
Ends: Oct 30 4:00 AM Central (UTC-5)
In celebration of German Unity Day, we've prepared missions with thematic rewards, as well as sequential bundles holding German Cruiser Premium containers. These containers can drop new cruiser X Hildebrand, as well as permanent camouflages, economic bonuses, and valuable resources. And if you don't get Hildebrand from these containers, you'll find her at the end of the chain for the purchase price of 49,874 doubloons and 1 Credit.
Two mission chains await you — one personal and one global. Completing the personal chain will bring you 2x German Navy containers, 1x Common Bonuses container, and German Commander Goldelse with an individual voiceover and 6 skill points as the final reward. The global mission chain can bring you the Colors of Unity commemorative flag and other valuable items.
