? | The Kirov, for the most part, is the first step of the unique cruiser builds Russia ever made, and she shows off her uniqueness by her ergonomics. Sporting nine 180mm guns in fairly fast turning triple mount turrets in the AB-X configuration, the Kirov can fare against her peers in firefights and very likely railing citadel damage against them, potentially destroy destroyers with a single HE salvo and giving battleships something to be wary upon despite the 15 second load time. However, the most glaring drawbacks for this cruiser are the range she's seen so almost always expect that if you attempt to join your peers in a fast maneuver you are the first thing to be seen and while the Kirov can take, she will most certainly die from a battleship's salvo in short order if you are not careful and the AA suite which leaves much to be desired. | | + | The Kirov, for the most part, is one of the more unique cruiser builds in the game, and she shows off her uniqueness by sporting nine 180mm guns in fairly fast turning triple mount turrets in the AB-X configuration, the Kirov can fare against her peers in firefights and very likely doing good citadel damage against them, potentially destroy destroyers with a single HE salvo and giving battleships something to be wary upon despite the 15 second load time. However, the most glaring drawbacks for this cruiser are its weak armor, bad dispersion, and painfully slow reload time. These weaknesses make the Kirov have to play a risky playstyle that focuses on a weird cautious but aggressive gameplay. It should also not come as a surprise if players on this ship who are familiar with the RTS game series Red Alert occasionally throw out "Kirov reporting" as a homage to the Soviet faction's iconic unit the Kirov airship. |

One of the first large warships designed and built in the U.S.S.R. (Project 26). Despite her small displacement, she was equipped with very powerful long-range main guns and had a good speed. In contrast to the majority of her contemporaries, Kirov had weak armor.
