Performance
The Kirov, for the most part, is one of the more unique cruiser builds in the game, and she shows off her uniqueness by sporting nine 180mm guns in fairly fast turning triple mount turrets in the AB-X configuration, the Kirov can fare against her peers in firefights and very likely doing good citadel damage against them, potentially destroy destroyers with a single HE salvo and giving battleships something to be wary upon despite the 15 second load time. However, the most glaring drawbacks for this cruiser are its weak armor, bad dispersion, and painfully slow reload time. These weaknesses make the Kirov have to play a risky playstyle that focuses on a weird cautious but aggressive gameplay. It should also not come as a surprise if players on this ship who are familiar with the RTS game series Red Alert occasionally throw out "Kirov reporting" as a homage to the Soviet faction's iconic unit the Kirov airship.

- Large Hull comparable to a Tier IV Battleship means easy prey for CVs
- Abysmal reload time
- Slow shell travel time which may be problematic against fast ships
- Weak armor; frequently zigzag or face citadel damage
- High detection range
Recommended Equipment
Early Research
- Upgrade to the main hull first, this will give a good boost to survive-ability and a actually decent AA suite.
- The only other option is the fire control so do that.
